Why watch this film?

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" is almost literally the cinematic version of the comic book stories of the character, mainly from the 1990s. There is all the non-sense humor, anarchy and exaggeration that characterized the comics of that time. All this done in an extremely conscious way by director Andy Serkis (yes, himself, Gollum from 'Lord of the Rings' - in his fourth feature film in the role) and by screenwriters Kelly Marcel and Tom Hardy (exactly, the star of the story). The result of this is a kind of mixture of 'Deadpool' with comedy horror, with a script that has practically the same structure as the Spider-Man films signed by Sam Raimi. The antagonist of the adventure, Carnage, is played by Woody Harrelson ('Zombieland'), who also seeks in humor the touch of irreverence to live the serial killer. Maybe there is a lack of more graphic violence (the original rating is PG-13, against R, which requires minors under 17 to watch accompanied by parents, of Mercenary Tagarela) and just a more elaborate script. Still, with about 97 minutes, it delivers quickly and directly the entertainment it proposes.
