"Lara" is a German drama film that tells the story of a woman, Lara, who is celebrating her 60th birthday. This celebration is more special than the others because her son, Viktor, will be performing a concert that will define the course of his career as a pianist. Although Lara has dedicated all her effort and love to make her son successful, it seems that she will not be welcome at Viktor's concert. A pianist mother and a pianist son, a mother who never managed to follow her dream and a son who is about to fulfill his: we have here an extremely moving film, which deals with intimate and human themes. The dynamic between the two protagonists is the soul of the feature, their relationship is charged and the actors deliver what is necessary for the plot of the feature. It is a sensitive production and deals consciously and crudely with the theme of interfamily relationships. Powerful, ponderous and current drama.

Plot summary
It's Lara's 60th birthday, and she has every reason to celebrate: this evening, her son Viktor will be giving the most important piano concert of his career. Lara was, after all, the one who'd mapped out and driven his musical career. Yet Viktor has been unreachable for weeks and nothing indicates that Lara will be welcome at his debut performance. Without further ado, she buys up all the remaining tickets and hands them out to everyone she meets. The more Lara strives to make the evening successful, however, the more events get out of control.
