Why watch this film?
"Trees of Peace" is a powerful debut film by director Alanna Brown. The production tells the true story of four women who, during the Rwandan genocide, spent 76 days hiding together in one room. With coexistence and difficulties, these women form a powerful bond. The film, even taking place in one location, has creative cinematography that never gets monotonous. The script and performances are strong and engaging, and they are what elevate the film as a whole. A hard and difficult, yet moving story that must be watched.
