Why watch this film?

This film, awarded at the Tribeca Film Festival, is an independent drama that doesn't innovate in its format, but still manages to build an interesting story of friendship and how our past can shape our present. Liz W. Garcia, the director, screenwriter and producer, was one of the people responsible for the success of the series 'Dawson's Creek' from 1998 to 2003 - if you liked the series, you'll certainly recognize the similarities with 'Almas Secas'. Recommended for those looking for a melodrama about love, friendship and loss.
