Why watch this film?
A smart drama, selected for the Sundance 2018 Festival and based on real events, that focuses on the great schism that exists in the churches of the USA - a predominantly Protestant country. The protagonist is a pastor played by Chiwetel Ejiofor (nominated for an Oscar for '12 Years of Slavery'), who is going through a crisis of faith while questioning the foundations of religion. After all, do we live to be saved or are we already saved, blessed with the love of God and the gift of life? Unfortunately, according to part of the critics, there is not enough precision in the script and some scenes are lost, but nothing that obscures the message of tolerance - so important for today's days - that the film brings. The cast also includes Martin Sheen (Golden Globe winner for the series 'The West Wing'), Danny Glover (the unforgettable Detective Murtaugh from 'Lethal Weapon') and Jason Segel (from 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall').

Kidnapped
In Kidnapped (Rapito), Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio delves into one of the murkiest and most controversial episodes in the history of the Catholic Church, the "Mortara case". In 1851, when Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara becomes gravely ill, his Catholic nanny decides to baptize him in an emergency. However, papal law dictates that all Catholics must be raised as such, so the cardinal orders the boy to be taken and handed over to the church, against his parents' wishes, who decide to fight for him. The film recounts a controversial case that captured the attention of the rest of Europe and America, and skillfully portrays the clash of interests between the waning power of the church, Mortara's parents, and public opinion, with irreversible consequences for all involved.
Green Border
'Green Border' - In the treacherous and swampy forests that make up the so called “green border” between Belarus and Poland, refugees from the Middle East and Africa trying to reach the European Union are trapped in a geopolitical crisis cynically engineered by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. In an attempt to provoke Europe, refugees are lured to the border by propaganda promising easy passage to the EU.
