Why watch this film?

The auteur cinema we know from the Nouvelle Vague is present in Philippe Garrel's most recent work. Women, as in other of the director's films, have a strong and prominent role, putting men in the background. Despite Esther Garrel's character, daughter of the director and Louis Garrel's sister, being devoted to her ex-boyfriend and fragile due to the end of a relationship, she doesn't lose her protagonist or strong personality. It's a very sensitive production about unlikely relationships and friendships. It's extremely melancholic and may not be the best option for a sad day.
