Why watch this film?
A real story with Al Pacino (no introduction needed) and Evan Peters ('X-Men: Days of Future Past'), Melanie Griffith ('Body Double') and Barkhad Abdi (Oscar-nominated for 'Captain Phillips') in the cast. The result is a fascinating movie, with an excellent performance from Peters bringing some humor and keeping us hooked. A must watch for fans of real stories and journalism in general.

The Bronze
'The Bronze' is an independent comedy with a sharp sense of humor, the face of Sundance Festival, no wonder it was part of the 2016 edition selection. In the story, Melissa Rauch ('The Big Bang Theory') gives life to a frustrated former gymnast who needs to train a young athlete to achieve the dream she couldn't, winning a gold medal at the Olympics. The movie is quite interesting, it deals with how hard it is to deal with life's disappointments and how that can prevent us from opening up to new opportunities. The narrative has some very sharp jokes, which can offend those who are not prepared for productions with this tone, in the current context it might have been more problematic than when it was released. Rauch is completely detestable, she was perfect for the role. In addition to her, the cast has Haley Lu Richardson ('Unpregnant'), Sebastian Stan ('Captain America and the Winter Soldier'), Thomas Middleditch ('Silicon Valley') and Gary Cole ('Small Crimes'), all are great, especially Stan, as an unbearable coach as the protagonist.

The Peasants
The Peasants is an animated film by the same directors of Loving Vincent, using the same innovative technique, which could be described as "oil-painted rotoscopy". Based on the Nobel Prize-winning novel The Peasants (1904) by Władysław Reymont, it's a tale of desire and revenge told in four episodes, one for each season of the year. The story, set in Poland at the turn of the 20th century, follows a young peasant woman who wreaks havoc by marrying an older, wealthy man, whose son also desires her, despite being married. It is a powerful and bleak, although conventional tale about violence and misogyny, somewhat overshadowed by its beautiful and prodigious visual execution.
