Why watch this film?
Although set in the early 1970s, 'The Best of Enemies' is a reflection of racial tensions in the US today - albeit with greater balance, thanks to moderate positions that suggest the possibility of political and social reconciliation. Unfortunately, the movie does not add anything very new to the debate (as did, for example, 'Infiltrado na Klan') and the development of the plot quickly becomes evident to the viewer, with a rather predictable story. However, the dynamic between the protagonists Sam Rockwell ('Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri') and Taraji P. Henson ('Hidden Figures') deserves our full attention.
