Why watch this film?

If you read the synopsis, you may have noticed some similarities with another war classic of our times: 'Inglourious Basterds' by Quentin Tarantino. Released towards the end of the sixties, in a period when old Hollywood was undergoing several transformations, 'The Dirty Dozen' presents a cynical war adventure full of testosterone and with a level of violence that was not usual at the time, but today it is considered a classic thanks in large part to a solid cast led by Lee Marvin and which adds names such as Charles Bronson, Donald Sutherland and John Cassavetes, to mention only some.
