Why watch this film?

Fun, irreverent, and lighthearted. These are just some of the almost all positive adjectives used to describe 'Mamma Mia! The Movie', a feature film adaptation of a successful Broadway musical. The story of a woman (Meryl Streep, funnier than ever) who doesn't know who her daughter's father is inspires a musical full of great moments, mainly due to the Abba songs that fill the narrative and help tell the story -- 'Dancing Queen', 'The Winner Takes It All', 'Mamma Mia'. The absolute highlight, however, is the completely comfortable cast on screen, giving the audience the impression that the actors are really having fun with those songs being sung in the paradisiacal setting of Greece. In addition to Meryl Street, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Julie Walters, Stellan Skarsgard and Christine Baranski stand out.
