Why watch this film?

Directed by renowned French filmmaker Guillaume Nicloux, the feature takes place in 1945, shortly before the war of Indochina independence. 'Les confins du monde' is a deep war film that meditates on the nature of revenge, loss and cruelty in general (in fact, fans of Francis Ford Coppola's 'Apocalypse Now' will love this movie almost automatically). A disturbing feature-length, it is sustained by the masterful cinematography of David Ungaro (nominated for the Lumière Award for his work), as well as by the performances of two great French actors: Gaspard Ulliel ('Saint Laurent', 'Juste La Fin Du Monde') and the legendary Gérard Depardieu ('The Other Woman').
