When the daughter of a well-known and well-respected base commander is murdered, an undercover detective is summoned to look into the matter and finds a slew of cover-ups at West Point.

"One of John Travolta's most interesting (and unknown!) roles, 'The General's Daughter' is an unusual military suspense. After all, the plot delves into the investigation of a crime committed at the highest level of the American army, directly involving politicians, military personnel and people connected to power. Travolta (who was highly rated at the time after 'Beyond the Red Line') consolidates himself as the moral reserve of the story, tracing an interesting confessional narrative with the public. It is not Simon West's best film (from 'Con Air' and 'Lara Croft'), but it should keep the viewer in their seat throughout its almost two hours with a plot that provokes, instigates and, above all, makes the viewer reflect."
