"Inspired by a Julio Cortázar story, 'Blowup' is the first English-language film from the great Italian filmmaker Michelangelo Antonioni ('L'Avventura'), winner of the Grand Prize at the International Film Festival (now known as the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival) and with two Oscar nominations. Faithful to the director's previous filmography, this movie proposes a reflection on an alienating existence, in this case, in a reality intervened by photography, making humanity a passive and inert spectator, insensitive to the disturbing events around them and unable to connect with other people, which forces them to look closer and further away to wake up."
