"Our Times (Nuestros tiempos) is a Mexican drama and science fiction film directed by Chava Cartas (Contra-Ataque), starring Benny Ibarra and Lucero. The story begins in 1966 and follows a couple of physicists, Nora and Héctor, who invent a functional time machine and travel to 2025. The 21st century proves to be a much better time for Nora, as it is easier for women to perform professionally and gain respect. However, Héctor resents the change and longs to return to the past. With a dramatic angle and clear influences from the classic Back to the Future, the film contrasts the morals of one era with another, in a time when advances in feminism are still challenged by more conservative views. A unique proposition in Mexican cinema that, in addition to opening the door for these reflections, serves as family entertainment."
