Why watch the movie The Lives of Others?
"Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (Never Look Away) delivers a thriller that starts with a pair of headphones and ends with shattered lives. Ulrich Mühe (Funny Games), Martina Gedeck (The Baader Meinhof Complex), and Sebastian Koch (Black Book) bring to life a dangerous game: a Stasi officer surveils an artist couple, unaware he’s slowly becoming entangled with them. The tension builds with every tape, every intercepted glance, every suspicious silence. It’s impossible not to wonder how far you’d go to protect a secret — and what it would cost. Named one of the 100 best films of the century by The New York Times."
