Why watch the movie Strangerland?
"Strangerland is a dramatic thriller that, by the way, features one of Nicole Kidman's best and most nuanced performances (showing off her Australian accent). Set in a desert town, the story follows the desperation of a newly arrived family when their two teenage children go missing, just before a storm hits the town. With Joseph Fiennes and Hugo Weaving completing the cast, it’s a fascinating thriller with a subtext about repression and sexuality in the family environment that raises intriguing and unsettling questions."
