Why watch the movie Beginning?
"Dea Kulumbegashvili's debut in feature-length film direction is at least curious. The Georgian filmmaker has taken a big gamble and delivered a production that definitely does not serve any audience. With its bucolic beauty and poetic scenes, with fixed and long shots, 'Beginning' is a cinematic experiment that mixes sound editing, excellent cinematography and an intriguing screenplay, with the fingerprints of Kulumbegashvili and screenwriter Rati Oneli. The production hooks the viewer with its narrative and montage, which, although slow, is innovative."
