Three Mexican university students fight against corruption and limited resources to pursue their dreams.
Why watch the movie The Founders?
"A university with limited resources, corrupt politicians, and thwarted artistic aspirations all come together in the portrait of a precarious future for Mexican youth offered by 'Los fundadores'. More than just depicting an open protest against the status quo, Diego Hernández's debut follows three college students in the everyday struggles of life, such as looking for jobs in small businesses to pay bills. Its approach is formally minimalist and everyday (and somewhat loose narratively, it must be said), depicting the daily life of contemporary Mexican youth."
