Why watch the movie Souvenir?
"Selected to compete in the 2019 Guadalajara International Film Festival, 'Souvenir' is a film that tackles one of the most controversial topics in contemporary Mexico: surrogacy motherhood. Director Armond Cohen's feature debut offers space to reflect on motherhood itself, but more importantly, on women's ability to make decisions about their own bodies. It's a powerful drama with complex and flawed characters, masterfully performed by the great Paulina Gaitán, Flavio Medina ('Estar o no Estar'), Marco Pérez ('Gloria') and Yuriria del Valle ('Manos Libres')."
