French Exit

"A widow New York socialite discovers she is about to go bankrupt and moves to Paris with what remains of her inheritance. This is a movie that manages to be peculiar and interesting at the same time. Very delicate, yet curious, and makes you reflect on life, since we rarely value what really matters. Michelle Pfeiffer and Lucas Hedges built an eccentric dynamic as mother and son in the plot, marrying their characters very well. In 'French Exit', the production does justice to the title by capturing this idea in the best possible way and, indeed, France is the main setting of this story."
