Two British track athletes, one a determined Jew, and the other a devout Christian, compete in the 1924 Olympics.

"Award-winning movie inspired by the true story of two runners: Harold Abrams, son of Jewish immigrants, and Eric Liddell, a Protestant of Scottish origin, who defend England in the 1924 Olympic Games. 'Chariots of Fire' brings a very beautiful story - with an inspiring message, we know that many young people do the possible and the impossible to participate in the Olympics. What really matters is their passion and morality when competing. Director Hugh Hudson did a great job. Actors Ian Charleson, Ben Cross and Ian Holm, who was nominated for an Oscar, are amazing in their roles. Not to mention the classic soundtrack, composed by Vangelis (also from 'Blade Runner'), which became a classic - the main theme even became a cliché for sports scenes and/or slow motion. This is one of those unmissable films about sport and also about life."
