"Brazilian production by director Heitor Dhalia ('O Cheiro do Ralo', 'Serra Pelada', 'Tungstênio' and other great titles) is very important about the toxic environment that women face in the artistic world. This project was written and rewritten for years in the director's mind, and 'Anna' was one of the most complicated works of Dhalia, as he confessed in interviews, and we can see why when we watch the movie. The story revolves around a director trying to put on Shakespeare's play 'Hamlet' after a failed attempt. Dominated by his insecurity, he faces his conflicts as he takes a risk again with the Shakespearian epic. Not only that, he ends up crossing the boundaries between reality and imagination due to the relationship he develops with the actresses, in this case, with Anna, the Ophelia of the adaptation. A Brazilian film that reflects the wave of the #MeToo movement, which gained a lot of strength in the United States with the accusations of women about the abuses they have suffered and continue to suffer in the media, due to the lack of limits of film and TV producers and directors. 'Anna' explores this field in theater, in a poetic way, dissecting the complexities of the human mind."
