""Why Don't You Cry?" is a Brazilian drama about mental health that is very interesting for those who don't have much knowledge on the subject and wish to start exploring more. Director Cibele Amaral studied psychology and brings a very reflective portrait of how necessary it is to create awareness of the need to treat our minds before trying to embrace the world with our hands. Through the story of a future psychologist, Jéssica (Carolina Monte Rosa), who begins to attend to Bárbara (Bárbara Paz), a woman diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder as part of her college conclusion. Their involvement ends up showing other nuances of Jessica's behavior, who ends up neglecting her own mental health. It is a slow, little dynamic movie - much due to its theme - and with an abstract ending, but that makes all the sense since it is dealing with a very delicate subject."
