"The beginning of "Dora and Gabriel," a feature film directed by Ugo Giorgetti (of "Uma Noite em Sampa"), is excellent. It shows a man (Ary França) being put in a trunk. A kidnapping. A woman (Natalia Gonsales) who is passing by is also taken hostage. Dora and Gabriel, locked in a trunk. The movie, which takes place almost exclusively in the environment of the trunk, is inventive. Giorgetti holds the whole story from the interaction of these two. Right away, we know little about them. She has nervous asthma, is talkative, worried. He is calmer, is Lebanese, trying to calm this woman who seems to have suddenly entered his critical universe. Right away, the interaction between the two works well. It is excellent to see França ("Durval Discos") on stage, putting truth into this Lebanese character. On the other hand, Gonsales works well in this desperate exaggeration of her character, but it can not be denied that there is a certain lack of naturalness in many moments.
