Edee, in the aftermath of an unfathomable event, finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she once knew and in the face of that uncertainty, retreats to the magnificent, but unforgiving, wilds of the Rockies. After a local hunter brings her back from the brink of death, she must find a way to live again.
"This film marks the feature-length directorial debut of the renowned actress Robin Wright - she had previously directed a short and a few episodes of the acclaimed series 'House of Cards'. 'Land' tells the story of Edee, who after an incomprehensible event finds herself unable to stay connected to the world she knew and, facing this problem, retreats to the Rockies, a region composed of mountains, trying to find a new way of living by creating new bonds and seeking a restructuring in her life. It is an extremely moving film, which deals with grief and new beginnings in a very sensitive way, and received many praises when it premiered at the Sundance Festival."
