Why watch the movie Philomena?
"Philomena is a movie to watch multiple times, always clapping your hands in standing ovation at the end. If you want to see great performances, then Judi Dench delivers a great job. If you just want to see a good movie, Stephen Frears provides an impeccable direction. Now, if you just want to be moved, you will find what you're looking for. All of this accompanied by a true story about a single mother who was forced to give away her son to be adopted by another family - and decades later sets out to find him. Religion, ethics, and motherhood are all combined in an astonishing story."
