"Directed by Aly Muritiba (For My Beloved Dead, Rust), Deserto Particular is an introspective and sensitive film that unfolds carefully in its nuances. The story is about Daniel, a police officer suspended from work for misconduct who maintains a relationship through messages with Sara. Without work, at the same time that the girl stops responding to him, he finds himself without perspective, lost in his life. He then decides in a moment of impulse to travel after the girl, leaving behind what little he has for an image he idealizes. Sara is also in a moment of disillusionment and search, she finds herself lost in her own world, trying to find what belongs to her. The meeting of the two is crucial for them to discover, understand each other and know how to move forward, finding the courage to leave the place. It is a film about understanding, self-knowledge and reflection, honest and raw, which manages to express and understand certain feelings that are particular to our Brazilian reality."
