Why watch the movie Pitty?
"Claudio Assis ("Febre do Rato"), one of the references of Pernambuco cinema, brings in "Piedade" a little of what we know in contemporary Brazilian cinema. The feature follows the routine of the inhabitants of the city of Piedade, whose lives are shaken by the arrival of a large oil company that intends to exploit the natural resources of the region. The production denounces a reality and still discusses family dramas, marginalized issues and social activism. With a cast that has names like Fernanda Montenegro, Irandhir Santos, Matheus Nachtergaele, Cauã Reymond and Gabriel Leone, it is a movie that deserves our attention."
