""Haifa Street: Hearts at War" is a movie about the Iraq Civil War. Between 2004 and 2007, Haifa Street was the epicenter of the conflict, being one of the most violent places in Baghdad. The film follows the story of Ahmed, who goes to the city to ask his girlfriend Suad to marry him, but ends up being shot by a young guerrilla fighter. The production is very dense and intense, showing the war from the perspective of an elite shooter. Laden with dark and traumatic themes and atmosphere, the movie has great performances and Mohanad Hayal's direction is great. This is also Hayal's feature film debut. "Haifa Street" has been highly praised in international festivals, being voted Best Film in Busan and Cairo."
