Three women in Kosovo escape their mundane lives to pursue their dreams of forming a band.
Why watch the movie The Hill Where Lionesses Roar?
"Luàna Bajrami became known for her role in 'Portrait of a Young Woman on Fire', earning her a César Award nomination for Best Revelation Actress, and here she makes her directorial debut at just 21 years old. 'La colline où rugissent les lionnes' is a story close to the filmmaker, as it takes place in Kosovo, the region where she was born and which seems to her a place without soul and without opportunities. That's why the three protagonists decide to create their own independence on a journey of self-discovery and female rebellion."
