A stylish, 1970s-period crime thriller inspired by true events, The Connection tells the story of real-life Marseille magistrate Pierre Michel and his relentless crusade to dismantle the most notorious drug smuggling operation in history - the French Connection. In his crosshairs is charismatic and wealthy kingpin Gatean 'Tany' Zampa, who runs the largest underground heroin trade into the States.

"In the 1970s and 1980s, drug trafficking from various parts of the world was trying to extend its tentacles into the United States. This is the French version of 'Narcos', but with a great performance by Jean Dujardin as Pierre Michel, a real-life judge who fought against the French Connection."
