Werewolf by Night

"This special from Marvel Studios is by far one of the most distinct productions the studio has produced in recent years, both thematically and visually. 'Werewolf by Night' is based on the comic book 'Werewolf by Night' (also known in Brazil as 'O Lobisomem Ataca') and stars Mexican actor Gael García Bernal ('Y Tu Mamá También') playing the first version of the character, Jack Russell, a monster hunter afflicted by a curse that turns him into a beast. Although there are the typical Marvel action moments, this one-hour short special is more inspired by Universal's classic monster movies of the 1930s and 1940s. The prospect of taking the tired franchise in new creative directions is exciting."
