Why watch the movie Revoir Paris?
"Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Alice Winocour (Proxima), Revoir Paris is a powerful drama that tackles the French capital’s recent past with terrorist attacks. The plot follows Mia (the wonderful Virginie Efira, from Waiting for Bojangles), a woman that manages to survive one of such attacks. However, months later, she hasn’t managed to recover psychologically, so she decides to seek out other survivors to rebuild her memories of that day. It’s a sensitive portrayal –albeit a teary-eyed one– of grief and psychological trauma, that lets us see how our minds –and the people around us– struggle with situations such as this one."
