One hint, 6 chances, and a new movie to guess every day
In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom.

"Dìdi is a coming-of-age and semi-autobiographical comedy by American director Sean Wang, who is of Taiwanese descent and best known for his emotional Oscar-winning short film, Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó. Like many other comedies in the genre, this film follows an impressionable young protagonist during a time of change and uncertainty: he is about to start high school, his older sister is heading off to college, their father is away working in Taiwan, and tensions between their mother and grandmother are high. What makes Dìdi interesting for older audiences is that it’s a story firmly rooted in Generation Z, exploring the experience of "growing up online," in a world where making YouTube videos and communicating via Facebook is part of everyday life. Authentic, sincere, and even a bit self-critical, aided by notable performances (especially from the iconic Joan Chen of Twin Peaks fame), this is undoubtedly one of the best films of 2024."
