His arrival, however, disrupts Jennifer’s carefully curated world. She will do anything to protect their future together – and the life she has built for herself.

"Dreams is a drama by Mexican filmmaker Michel Franco (New Order) that, through an intense sexual and romantic relationship on screen, also aims to provide an allegory for the unequal bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States. The story follows a philanthropist (Jessica Chastain) with foundations dedicated to promoting art in the United States, who urges a Mexican dancer (Isaac Hernández, one of the best dancers in the world) to illegally cross the border in order to perform a dance demonstration. The torrid relationship that develops, however, raises questions about power dynamics and abuse between people from such different backgrounds, but also between the two neighboring nations. It should be noted, however, that the film suffers from the same sensationalist and biased flaws found in other works by Franco, although the two lead performances are quite redeemable."
