This feature, with elements of magical realism, brings to life the relationship between a prison guard (Tom Hanks, always great) and a death row inmate (Michael Clarke Duncan, in the role of his life) who has powers beyond human imagination. Thus, an emotional, engaging, powerful and transformative story unfolds. The direction is by Frank Darabont, who also signed another acclaimed adaptation of King's work, 'The Shawshank Redemption'. Despite its long duration (more than three hours), every second is worth it."
