Why watch the movie Barry Lyndon?
"Although it was not well received at the time, 'Barry Lyndon' is now considered one of the best films by master Stanley Kubrick, which says a lot coming from the creator of '2001: A Space Odyssey' and 'A Clockwork Orange.' Its more than three hours may be excessive for many nowadays, but it's still a fascinating drama about fate and ambition. Special mention goes to its innovative photography, with beautiful images that replicate the paintings of the era in candlelight, something very difficult to achieve."
