Kate and her roommate Riley find a book that contains answers to the past, present, and the future. Riley hesitant at first gives the book a try. The two end up summoning a demon by mistake. As the demon and Riley play a game of chess Riley must come to terms with information that caught her by surprise. Riley then explains to Kate that she is happy with her life so long as Kate is there with her.
