Verner lives with his sister in a cottage in a deserted landscape in the North of Sweden. As a child, he witnessed their father's suicide, an event that he has tried to hide from his sister. Even though Verner and his sister are now much older, Verner is still worried that his sister will eventually find out what happened in the past.
