Naska, the mother of 12 year old Nina, has been discharged from the factory and finds a job in a remote dairy farm in the mountain. Nina can't continue her education even though this is the only way that she will have a destiny different from her mother's. That's why she comes back in town but the school authorities don't allow her to live alone. In the meantime the dairy farm is closed down, Naska is involved in an accident that almost leads to murder... Maryan is also 12 years old. His mother works as an investigative journalist in the local cable TV channel. A shocking coverage of the accident in the dairy farm leads her to Naska and she reveals facts that can cost her her life. Maryan and Nina become friends but when he is forbidden to meet her he runs away from home. Nina and Maryan are on their own now and start living together. But as this is outrageous enough for the local people, Nina voluntarily commits herself to an orphanage so that she could continue her studies. Maryan follows her...
