Why watch the movie Memoir of War?
"This is one of those stories that should never be forgotten - about love, dedication and resistance. 'La douleur' is based on the true story of writer and screenwriter Marguerite Duras who, during World War II, joined the French Resistance against the Nazis and saw her husband, also writer Robert Antelme, arrested by the invaders. Thus, the feature film reveals the meanders of one of the darkest moments in history - including the connivance of certain members of French society and the ambiguity between the revolutionaries themselves. Highlight for the engaging performance of Mélanie Thiery ('The Zero Theorem') in the lead role."
