Twenty-year-old Favour Obani, known as Fav, an Afro-descendant Italian from a Nigerian family, works as a waitress and babysitter to earn the money needed to pay for the Film and Theatre School which she attends with excellent results but in secret from her family, who would like her to be "clueless about head," perhaps already married to someone of her own background. One day, due to the increase of the monthly tuition now becoming impossible for her means, the girl decides to abandon her studies and consequently also the little essay she is preparing to graduate. Her directing teacher, Guido, tries to help her as best he can. To do so, he does not hesitate to openly clash with Fav's family but especially with the "ownership" of the school represented by a sullen principal without scruples or ethics.
