Why watch the movie From Russia With Love?
"After the box office success of the inaugural James Bond franchise film, Eon Productions invested much more in a sequel and an annual production model for the character. 'From Russia With Love' arrives in this climate, expanding the action sequences and taking the secret agent even closer to the Cold War atmosphere of those times. The story also has the merit of citing for the first time in cinema the Soviet organization SMERSH (the main antagonist of the 007 books) and introduces SPECTRE, which would gain even greater prominence in the following films. Another novelty, which would become the hallmark of the series, is the arrival of John Barry as the main composer - and the introduction of a musical opening, accompanied by the song 'From Russia With Love', sung by Matt Monro. The script may seem a bit innocent to those accustomed to current films, but it's good fun."
