King Farooq finds himself submitting to the orders of the British to appoint Mustafa el-Nahhas as head of the ministry. During his trip to El-Qassasin, he is injured in a collision. He meets Dr. Yusuf Rashad and his wife Nuha. He admires the woman and assigns her to work in the palace as his maid. Nuha tries to rise socially through the weakness of the king's personality, especially after the husband is assigned to form the Iron Guard, through which the reckless officer Mustafa Kamal and officer Anwar el-Sadat are discovered.
