Why watch the movie Life of Pi?
"After emoting with powerful and realistic dramas such as 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon', Taiwanese filmmaker Ang Lee dove into visual effects to tell the story of Pi, the boy stuck in the middle of the ocean with some animals--including a Bengal tiger. Just like 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?', the circumstance serves only to allow the audience to delve even deeper into the character. After all, what matters in 'Life of Pi' is the internal emotional journey of the protagonist, who discovers and understands his life from this unusual situation. The visuals are stunning, showing that Ang Lee has a special appreciation for adopting effects and scenarios ahead of their time, as would be confirmed in 'Gemini Project'. And, with that, the audience should find here a double enchantment. On the one hand, the incredible and even grandiose visuals. But on the other, going into deeper layers, this intimate and particular drama about a young Indian boy."
