Jason Statham's 105-Minute Remake of '70s Action Thriller Is Officially Being Wiped From Streaming

One of Jason Statham's unsung action thrillers has officially confirmed its exit from streaming. As other Statham hits, like Mutiny and Shelter, currently dominate the charts, this remake of a '70s cult classic rarely gets the love it deserves. As such, it's been somewhat forgotten over the years, but if you're in the mood for high-octane car chases and explosive violence, now is as good a time as any to watch what some viewers call "one of the best Jason Statham movies ever." Jason Statham Drives for His Life in a Timely Action Thriller Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (famous for his many Resident Evil films), Statham took

Matt Damon’s $970 Million Action Trilogy Is Officially Streaming in One Place

You know the name, you know what he does, and you know he doesn't need an introduction. All you need to know is that Matt Damon kicked ass, reinvented the spy thriller and was so good at it, he made James Bond think twice about how exactly he should get to work. The three movies that started it all — The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum — have officially come together on Netflix in the United States as of October 1. Better still, Netflix actually added the entire five-film franchise on the same day, with The Bourne Legacy and Jason Bourne also joining the service. Based on the novels by Robert Ludlum,

James Walsh Dies: Tony-Winning Broadway Producer Of ‘The Heidi Chronicles’ & ‘I’m Not Rappaport’ Was 89

James Walsh, whose many Broadway producing credits in the 1980s and ’90s included the Tony Award-winning productions of 1986’s I’m Not Rappaport starring Judd Hirsch and 1989’s Pulitzer-winning The Heidi Chronicles, died of sepsis Thursday, August 27, in New York City. He was 89. His death was announced by his wife, the Emmy- and Oscar-winning casting director Juliet Taylor. Born May 6, 1937, in Antonito, Co, Walsh attended UCLA before beginning his career as a Ford Foundation intern for administration in the arts at the Metropolitan Opera from 1961-1963. He then worked at the Repertory Theatre of Lincoln Center under Robert Whitehead and Elia Kazan, helping to manage their repertory company based in Greenwich Village at the Anta Theatre while the Vivian Beaumont was still under construction. Anta productions included such future stars as Faye Dunaway, Jason Robards and Roy Scheider. He began his Broadway career as an assistant general manager on 1964’s After the Fall by Arthur Miller,

Jason Statham’s ‘Mad Max’ Replacement Is Officially Back on Streaming Charts

With only a week to go until Jason Statham's return to the big screens in Mutiny, one of the actor's most overlooked action movies is finding a second life at home. Statham has already starred in one action film this year, the theatrical underperformer Shelter, which barely recouped its reported budget of $50 million at the worldwide box office. Shelter was positioned to become the third in a string of hit January releases for Statham, following The Beekeeper and A Working Man. However, despite receiving mostly positive reviews, the film wasn't able to break out commercially. It has more than redeemed itself on the PVOD market and on streaming, having

Jason Statham’s Remake of a 70s Action Cult Classic Makes a Streaming Comeback

Jason Statham's forgotten remake of a 1970s action cult classic is making an unexpected (but well-deserved) comeback on digital streaming. Jason Statham's action career has seen a big resurgence over the past few years. Following the success of The Beekeeper (directed by David Ayer), more of Statham's action movies have been hitting theaters and dominating on streaming. A Working Man is a frequent success on Prime Video, while Shelter is continuously one of the biggest movies on Starz. This resurgence has even resulted in Statham re-teaming with Guy Ritchie for the upcoming Layer Cake (novel) sequel, Viva La Madness. That success has also led to one of Statham's older

Pleasantville 4K release removes a line of dialogue from the movie

Fans watching Shout! Factory’s new 4K Uhd release of Pleasantville have discovered that the remastered version is missing a line of dialogue that was present in previous releases. The omitted line occurs roughly 108 minutes into the 1998 film. Here’s a video comparison showing the difference between the new 4K release and a previous, unedited release: Shout Factory is censoring their movies now? pic.twitter.com/0RfedXVuZj — Erick Lorinc (@ErickLorinc) August 10, 2026 The omission is brief, but it’s noticeable because the dialogue is still present in older releases of Pleasantville. The new Shout! Factory 4K cuts around the line. At this time, Shout! Studios has not publicly explained why the line is missing.
