Police

Three officers must decide whether to escort an illegal immigrant to his deportation or not.

Why watch this film?

Shown at the 2020 Berlin International Film Festival, 'Police' is a police drama from filmmaker Anne Fontaine ('White As Snow') that, for better or worse, brings together in its script many of the ethnic, migratory and social aspects experienced in Europe (and in France, in particular) - not always with good results, though with good intentions. Although the plot may seem simple, the film is built from the divergent perspectives of its protagonists, enriching the eventual moral dilemma they face. It has in its favor that it manages to be a "commercial" film without losing ambition in the themes it addresses. The protagonist Omar Sy ('Lupin') is, in itself, a good reason to watch the feature.
