Directed by Canadian filmmaker Kazik Radwanski, "Anne at 13,000 Ft." is a sophisticated and masterful character study about a complex woman and her struggles to come to terms with her reality. Actress Deragh Campbell carries the entire film in the role of a shy and socially awkward woman who leads a seemingly stable life working at a daycare center, but her outlook on everything changes drastically when she discovers skydiving. It is a subtle and elegant exploration of mental illness in our times, with total empathy for those who suffer from it, without falling into any kind of sensationalism.

Plot summary
