Trailer

Why watch this film?

A Swiss banker (Fabrizio Rongione) is suddenly forced to travel to Argentina when his partner disappears during a dictatorship. He must put out the fire between the bank's customers and regain their trust in the market. This is the plot of the good movie 'Azor', directed by Andreas Fontana, a newcomer to the role. The production has its own atmosphere and, instead of bringing this story in a banal way, just mixing apathetic elements, Fontana puts a lot of personality into the protagonist's journey. The character's conversations with his customers are whispered or hidden so as not to draw attention. Meanwhile, Azor is gaining strength more as an unexpected thriller than as a certain drama. Yvan doesn't know who to trust or how to make the same transactions his partner did. And what if he makes the same mistakes? From then on, we follow the meanders of the financial market - which remains the same through the decades and borders - and which always has the dictatorship as a kind of veiled threat, hovering over all his decisions.
