Why watch this film?

In the late 1960s, Hunter Adams attempted suicide. At the time, he was disillusioned with the direction of his life and depression hit him hard. He decided to check himself into a sanatorium. It was there that he realized that his destiny in life was to be a doctor, treating patients in an unconventional way. This is the delicate dramedy 'Patch Adams' that focuses on this figure, one of the most interesting works of Robin Williams ('Dead Poets Society'). Directed by Tom Shadyac ('Bruce Almighty'), the feature film shows that doctors do not always have to have the same cold and distant attitude in consultations and, especially, treatments. For this, Williams bets on a light interpretation, understanding how each gesture on the screen can impact the viewer. A movie to rethink medicine with more humor and joy.
